20/05/2021 - Launching of the project of creating AEMVT

We got motivated to make things happen and embark on this adventure! We had to create a specific association for veterinary students in the EN and FR sections in USAMVBT! After many discussions around this subject, we had to turn our ideas into reality!

So, on May 20th, 2021, a small group of people decided to launch the project of creating this association. Following extensive research on community life in Romania and inspired by the operation of the association of non-Romanian veterinary students in Bucharest, we made the choice to go through the Committee of Francophone Students Gaudeamus. The association would therefore be a branch of this NGO. This is why the name that was retained: the Association of Veterinary Medicine Students of Timisoara (AEMVT) is in French and the mention "Gaudeamus" often appears.

The priority, thereafter, was to constitute an Office with the members of the founding body of AEMVT. Election were held among the 1st year students, and the results were as follows:

- President: Mathieu BLIN, 23, FR section.

- Vice-President: Clémentine SOLAN, 22 years old, FR section.

- Secretary: Louise PACCOU, 19 years old, EN section.

- Vice-secretary: Louise BOUET, 20 years old, FR section.

- Treasurer: Aurélie GUERCIO, 22, FR section.

- Vice-treasurer: Vanille AUDET, 21, FR section.

Finally, all that remained was to create an emblem to unify the members of the AEMVT. After a few searches on the internet, we reached the unanimous choice of using the lion, animal symbol present on the coat of arms of Timisoara. The purple color, on the other hand, is used almost everywhere in Timisoara (e.g. public transport, sports teams, etc.). Moreover, huge thanks to Mélodie SOLAN who kindly agreed to create this logo according to our desires and our ideas!

All the ingredients are here. The first projects such as the integration of new students can be launched, the first ideas can be shared, but above all, the adventure of the AEMVT shall begin...
